About me

An engineer. A writer. Still learning.

I’m Santosh Acharya, a Senior Software Engineer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I enjoy taking complex systems and making them simpler to understand, operate and evolve.

One person.
Two ways of seeing.

My background spans insurance, healthcare and enterprise software. I work primarily with Python, TypeScript, AWS and relational databases, thinking about the problems that emerge as software becomes larger: reliability, performance, security and maintainability.

More recently, I’ve been exploring how Generative AI, agents and context-aware tools can help engineers build and understand software.

Outside engineering, I write poetry and articles, with a particular love for Nepali literature. Engineering is one way I understand how things work. Poetry is another way I express how things feel.

A growing
perspective.
